Personalising Invoice Templates? (Mac)

If you need to customise your invoices with your logo, address, banking details, ect. these are the steps to follow.

You will need to download them off of our server, edit them using your spreadsheet editor (Excel) and then uploading them again.

Open your NightsBridge setup

If you're not sure how to open your NightsBridge Setup, please follow the tutorial here.

Click on templates

Once you have selected the template type you will need to click download in order for you to update your details on the respective templates.

Click on "Download" to retrieve the template

The template will now download and the document will appear in your downloads

If you cannot find the document, you can always open the file from the downloads folder in Finder.

Open the template in order to edit it

Select the box with instructions text (not the actual text) then delete it.

You can either press the backspace or delete keys on your keyboard OR right-click then select delete from the options.

Select the text-box with instructions (not the actual text) then delete it.

Choose "Insert" on the menu, then click on Picture.

A window will pop up. Navigate to where you have saved your logo on the computer, select it then click "open".

Move and resize your logo (if necessary).

Resize and place your logo (if necessary)

To resize your logo while keeping it proportional, hold down the "Shift" key on your keyboard, then select a corner of the image and drag inward.

You can move the image by simply clicking-and-dragging the edges.

Add your address details.

Click in the box provided, remove all the text and replace it with your details. These can be:

  • physical address
  • telephone number
  • fax number
  • e-mail address
  • web address.

Enter your Banking Details.

Scroll down (if necessary) and click in the box below Balance Due.

Replace the example text with your actual banking details.

Your template should be done.

Save the invoice template into a place that you can easily find later.

Make sure that you do not change the name of the document or the extension (i.e. invoice.xls).

Go back to your Setup to now upload your edited template.

Select the template type

Click on "Choose file" and search for the document that you saved earlier (should be invoice.xls)

It will show this message once successful.

Any next invoice that you generate on BridgeIT will now reflect the changes you've made.
