This tutorial specifically deals with using and navigating through the Rate Grid.
The Rate Grid allows you to enter a % amount that will override your base rate (RACK or STO) that displays online.
Rate discounts are only for online bookings. They do not apply to manual calendar bookings.
Navigating in the Rate Grid.
Use the sliders on the bottom and on the right in order to easily navigate your way around the rates grid. This will allow you to see all your room types, meal plans and applicable date.
Adjusting rates would then be done by typing in the percentage (%) that you want to change the rates by, based off of your rate sheet.
Double click on the block that you're wanting to edit.
This will allow you to edit the block by entering a percentage (%) amount to the block.
Enter a minus sign (-) in the block if you want the rates to be decreased.
This will show in red with an arrow pointing down to indicate that the rate has been decreased by 10% for that night.
In practice, this would mean that if your rate was R1000 for the night, the rate would be decreased to R900 = (R1000 - (R1000 x 10%)).
Enter the amount WITHOUT the minus sign with increase the rates.
This will show in green with an arrow pointing up, indicating that the rate has been increased by 10% for that night.
Therefore, if your rate was R1000 for the night, the rate would be increased to R1100 = (R1000 + (R1000 x 10%)).
Adjusting rates for multiple night and multiple room types.
You're able to copy a discount for a set amount of dates or rooms:
You're able to easily copy your rates over to other dates and other room types by using the "Copy Block" button.
Make sure that you've selected the block in the grid that you're wanting to copy.
You can use "Shift" and "Ctrl" on your keyboard in order to select the blocks that you're wanting to copy the rates to.
You're able to copy a discount for one date for all your rooms.
You're able to easily copy your rates over to all your room types for a given date by using the "Copy Down" button.
Make sure that you've selected the block in the grid that you're wanting to copy.
You can use "Shift" and "Ctrl" on your keyboard in order to select the blocks that you're wanting to copy the rates to.
Save your changes once you've finished updating your Rate Grid.
