In this tutorial, we will show you how to remove the VAT calculation on your invoice and proforma template.
You can remove this if your business is not VAT registered.
Click on the settings icon
Click 'Setup'
Click 'templates'
Open the invoice template
- Select Invoice from the dropdown list.
- Click to Download.
- Your invoice template will now open in Excel.
Change the invoice template
- Select the cells which contain "Vat No:" and "VAT".
- Click to Delete on your keyboard to remove this information.
- Select the cells which contains "R0.00"
- This will show you the bookmark "NBVatAmount"
1. Click on your formulas tab.
2. Click on Name Manager.
- Select the bookmark "NBVATAmount".
- Click Delete.
- Click OK.
- Click Close.
- The VAT calculation has now been removed from the template and will no longer be displayed.
Upload your new invoice template
- Save the invoice template into a place that you can easily find later.
Make sure that you do not change the name of the document or the extension (i.e. invoice.xls).
Go back to your NightsBridge setup.
- Click on Templates
- Choose Invoice from the Template drop down list.
- Click to Choose File.
- Search for the document that you saved earlier. It should be invoice.xls.
- Click to Upload the file.
- A message will display to show you have successfully uploaded your new template.
- Any new invoice that you generate on BridgeIT now will not have the VAT calculation included.
Make sure that you do the same with your Proforma template, if you use them. Just repeat the steps above but for the proforma.
