A package deal is a fantastic way to add extra value for your guests - like including a complimentary breakfast - without having to lower your standard accommodation rates. Unlike long-stay discounts, guests don't need to stay multiple nights to qualify for a package deal.
Here is a simple, step-by-step guide to help you set up your package deal in NightsBridge.
Step 1: Open Specials & Packages in your setup
First, open up your NightsBridge Setup. Click on Specials & Packages.
Click the Add button.
Step 2: Name and describe your package
- Name: Enter a clear, attractive name for your package (e.g., "Weekend Braai Experience"). This is what potential guests will see when browsing online.
- Description: Write a friendly description explaining what is included in the package and what is required to book it.
Step 3: Set your validity dates and package code
- Valid From & Valid Until: Use the drop-down calendars to choose when your package starts and ends. When guests search for stays falling within these dates, your package will pop up as an option. (Note: Guests can still arrive on the 'Valid Until' date).
- Package Code: Create a short, unique code so you can easily identify this rate plan on your calendar.
Understanding the difference: Valid From vs. Valid for Arrivals On
- Valid From / Valid Until: This dictates when the rate plan itself is active in the system (e.g., this package is available from 1 September to 30 November).
- Valid for Arrivals On: This acts as an arrival restriction. If you tick Monday through Thursday only, and a guest tries to book an arrival on a Friday, the package simply will not be bookable at all.
Step 4: Choose where to display your package & add a photo
- Display options: Choose whether you want the package to show on your own website only, or on partner websites as well. (Please note: Channel extranets like Booking.com and Airbnb do not support package deals).
- Add a photo: Upload a high-quality photo using Image Uploader. A vibrant photo brings your package to life on your booking engine and encourages more bookings!
Step 5: Select package type and arrival days
- Select Special Rate as your package type.
- If your special only applies to arrivals on certain days (like weekends), untick the days that don't apply under Valid for arrivals on.
Step 6: Choose room types, rate sheet, and set your rates
- Tick the room types that apply to this offer.
- Select your rate sheet (e.g., RACK).
- Click Set Rates.
- Type in your package rate for each room type.
- Click Save.
Step 7: Save and publish
Click Save.
Click Exit.
Finally click Publish to send your new package deal live!
Step 8: Double-check your work
