TravelGround/LekkeSlaap: Payments

Information on payments is displayed in the Notes on the Booking in your Calendar. It is also included on the email booking confirmation from NightsBridge, and on Bookings > Recent Bookings on your Owner's Login.

Deposit payment

  • TravelGround takes the deposit payment from the guest, according to the Deposit Policy set up in the NightsBridge Setup.
  • TravelGround pays the deposit over to the property, minus their commission based on the full booking amount.
  • If the property is VAT registered, TravelGround's commission percentage will include VAT. If they are not VAT registered, TravelGround will add VAT on top of the 15% commission. (17.25%)
  • TravelGround typically makes payment to properties on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday.

Collecting the balance of the payment

Properties have two options for collecting the balance of the payment and extras:

  • The property can collect the balance directly from the guest.

or

  • TravelGround can collect the balance of payment 1 month prior to arrival, 2 weeks prior to arrival, 1 week prior to arrival or on the day of arrival.

You set which of these two options you want in TravelGround's Quote settings.

Booking payments for new properties

  • For your first three bookings through TravelGround, TravelGround takes the deposit payment from the guest and pays you less their commission within 7 days before the arrival date. 
  • For all bookings after those, you can choose to either continue with this process or TravelGround can pay you for any future bookings as soon as the guest's payment has cleared in their account.
  • TravelGround will notify you directly after your first three booking payments to choose which option you prefer going forward.

International properties

  • The property needs to provide TravelGround with an invoice that includes your bank's SWIFT code to receive payment.
  • TravelGround only pays into a South African or Namibian bank account and only in ZAR and any potential fees incurred will be for the property's account.
