The way in which guests are notified about new messages within a chat is different depending on whether they chose WhatsApp or WebChat to communicate with you.
If the guest chose to use WhatsApp for communicating with you in Guest Chat, they will be notified of a new message in the same way as for any other WhatsApp messages.
Notification if WebChat is open
The guest will see a new message has appeared in the open chat.
Notification if WebChat is closed
- The guest will receive an email to tell them they have a new message.
- The guest will Click hear to read.
- The guest will be directed to the response from the property.
