How NightsBridge links with Global Distribution Systems (GDS)

NightsBridge links to the Apollo, Worldspan and Galileo through Travelport Hotelzon.

What is a GDS?

  • A GDS is a computerised network system owned or operated by a company that enables transactions between travel industry service providers, mainly airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and travel agencies.
  • When travel agents book accommodation through these systems, they will see property groups represented by "chain codes".
  • The four main GDSs globally are Apollo, Worldspan, Galileo and Sabre.
  • NightsBridge links to Apollo, Worldspan and Galileo through Travelport Hotelzon.
  • This means that you can gain access to these three GDSs through NightsBridge without needing to sign up individually with each of them. This can you save you significant costs.
  • Travelport/Hotelzon does not connect with Sabre.
