PayBridge Terms of Use

Automatic

  • When a booking is made online, the deposit will be deducted from the guest's credit card automatically once the card details are entered.
  • The money will be paid to you 2-3 working days later.
  • PayBridge will automatically swipe any virtual card bookings on the correct date.

Manual (Full PayBridge only-- not applicable to PayBridge Lite)

  • With our PayBridge payment credit card gateway, you can generate a link to process manual credit card transactions from your BridgeIT/Owner’s Login. (Always use 3D Link if possible)
  • This could be used to settle the guest's balance on their account or to process a payment that failed.
  • You are responsible to take the balance of the payment either before the guest arrives or on check-in.
  • PayBridge Lite only – Take the balance of payment on your card machine with card present.
  • In all cases we recommend using the 3D link as we 100% guarantee no fraudulent transactions through this link (no chargeback will be received).

Reversals/Refunds

  • There are times when the cardholder needs to be refunded.
  • This can occur when the booking is cancelled, the amount for the booking changes or it was a fraudulent payment that needs to be refunded.
  • You can refund your client on the Owners Login under the Payments tab.

Check-in procedure

If full 3D payment is received before arrival, no documentation is required. If not, you agree to have a staff member/person with permission at the property to do the following upon check-in:

  • Print PayBridge Transaction slip received via email.
  • Request guest to sign PayBridge Transaction slip.
  • Check if card details and identity document match the guest presenting it and make a copy.

Disputes/Chargebacks

  • Customers have the right to question an item on their credit card and request the bank reverse the debit.
  • A written signature will prove the customer accepted the right to deduct an amount from his/her card. (Signature on the PayBridge transaction slip)
  • The Property agrees to bear the entire risk in respect of every chargeback, regardless of the credit provider’s reason.
  • The payment will be deemed void until such time as the chargeback issue is resolved with the client and the acquiring bank.
  • The process does not guarantee that chargebacks will not occur. (Unless it was made through 3D secure)
  • The Property will need to keep the signed documentation for at least 6 months from the date of arrival.
  • Banks do not recognize your cancellation policy if the guest cancels or is a no-show.
  • The online payment link through your own booking form is 3D Secure, however, the payment link through your Extranets is not 3D Secure.

Managing payments

  • NightsBridge has the right to reverse a transaction if we suspect the payment is fraudulent.
  • NightsBridge has the right to place a payment on hold until authorisation documents have been sent to NightsBridge upon request.
  • An overdue NightsBridge account will result in transactions being withheld until the NightsBridge account is settled in full.
  • Any money due to NightsBridge as a result of a chargeback will be deducted off any future PayBridge transactions or can be paid via EFT.
  • The payment reference for all bookings will reflect as “PayBridge Accommodation” on the guest’s credit card statement.

Change of ownership

  • In the event there is a change of Ownership, PayBridge is to be informed by written notice.
  • The new owner will be required to so sign a new contract with NightsBridge should the change of ownership only pertain to an asset and not a legal entity.
  • All payments that are on hold and/or chargebacks incurred prior to the change of ownership will be to the owner unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
  • Failure to refund the Guest will result in a Dispute and you will be liable to NightsBridge.

Changes to Terms and Conditions

  • Due to changes in our service offering, PayBridge may be required to amend these Terms and Conditions.
  • The latest version of these Terms and Conditions will apply when you make use of the services or log on to the NightsBridge site.

Formal Liability

  • NightsBridge is not liable for any damages to the property by guests, the booking arrangement is between the guest and the property.
  • This agreement is accepted by the nominated person represented by the company to accept these terms of use.
  • You accept personal liability should the company no longer be in a position to cover the costs incurred through credit card transactions.
  • By Receiving this document, NightsBridge acknowledges and accepts your application for the use of our PayBridge Service.

Cancellation

  • If you wish to cancel PayBridge, any outstanding chargebacks need to be refunded to us first.
  • Should any chargebacks be processed after cancellation, you agree to refund us immediately by EFT. Failing this, we reserve the right to temporarily re-activate PayBridge in order for us to be refunded from incoming transactions.
