Cleaning fees can be added in your NightsBridge Setup to make potential bookers about the additional cost. Once set up, the cleaning fee will be applied to your booking form, Airbnb, Booking.com* and other channels.
Please note that the cleaning fee will only be added to Booking.com at the time of the listing creation, if created by NightsBridge on your behalf.
Should NightsBridge be connected to your existing listing, please add the cleaning fee directly via the Booking.com Extranet. While NightsBridge is able to send the cleaning fee information to certain connected channels, we are unable to ensure that all channels use and apply it.
Navigate to Policies
- Select 'Rates & Rules' from the Main Menu

- Select 'Policies'.
Click 'Additional Fees'.

Update and save the amounts of your cleaning fee/s
You need a stock item to connect to your cleaning fee. Please look at the tutorial on How to set up a stock item if you need more information on how to do that.
Link the cleaning fee to the cleaning fee stock item
- Click on the drop-down saying 'Select Stock' to display the options.
- Select 'Cleaning fee' - You may have named this differently when creating the cleaning fee stock item.

- Enter the amount that you would like charge as the cleaning fee for each of the room types.
If the cleaning fee amount is the same across all room types, add the cleaning fee to the first room type and click to 'Apply to All' - Click 'Save' to confirm your changes.

- Travelport
- Tourvest
If you have a listing on Airbnb, the cleaning fee must amount to between USD 5 and USD 600.
Please convert the currency to check that your cleaning fee (in your currency) falls within the above cost bracket.
Once set up the cleaning fee also displays on the booking confirmation emails and the booking notes.
The Cleaning Fee will be automatically added as an extra for online bookings. This is visible on the Booking and Payment Status of your bookings. You will notice that this is automatically added as an extra to the booking on the NightsBridge Online Calendar if a stock item has been selected on the drop-down arrow when the cleaning fee was added. If you use the NightsBridge calendar that synchronises, or another calendar that is connected to NightsBridge you will need to add the cleaning fee as an extra to the booking manually.
