Based on the way Expedia is designed and connected to NightsBridge, certain updates to Expedia happen automatically, while others are updated manually, once you tell us about the changes you've made.
In addition, there are features which you would need to manage directly on your Expedia Partner Central.
Here is a list of the specific features and their update method, ensuring that your information is kept up-to-date and accurate.
Expedia features that automatically update from NightsBridge
These features update automatically to Expedia once your NightsBridge Setup has been changed.
- These features include:
- Occupancy-Based Pricing (OBP). This is preferred as it will update all your rates for all occupancies in your room type.
- Rate Discounts: Basic
- Rate Discounts: Rate Grid
- Close outs
- Minimum stays
- Minimum stay call-off period. This is only effective from the day you publish the change.
- Inventory changes on your calendar
- Minimum advance days setting
Rate discounts (Basic and Rate Grid) will not display as a special on Expedia. The rate discount will adjust your standard rates on Expedia.

If you make changes to certain settings or features in NightsBridge Setup, please let us know so that we can update Expedia.
These settings/features include changes to:
- Meal plans
- Rooms
- Occupancy for room types
Turn-around time
Manual changes are processed during office hours and may take up to 48 business hours to be completed and confirmed.
Limitation: Beds per Room Type
Expedia can only accept a maximum of 20 beds per bed type, per room.
Example:
- If you have 20 physical rooms in your 'Double-Double' Room Type (a room with two double beds), this room type will not be able to be listed on Expedia.
This room type would have 40 double beds across the 20 physical rooms, within the room type. This exceeds the bed limit per room type set by Expedia.
NightsBridge features which you need to manage directly on Expedia
These features do not update from NightsBridge Setup to Expedia automatically.
- When you change this information on NightsBridge, make sure you update the same on Expedia - the information should always the same between the two platforms.
- Errors can arise when the information is mismatched and correcting this may take up to 48 business hours to resolve as we may need to escalate this to Expedia.
These features include:
- Currency
If your currency on Expedia is not the same as NightsBridge, create an STO rate sheet for Expedia in the currency that Expedia uses and link it to Expedia using Web Rates. - Terms and Conditions
- Deposit/Cancellation Policy
- Child policy and rates
- Room Type Names
- Payment settings (credit card only /credit card and EFT / EFT only)
- Additional amenities and facilities.
- Photos
- Promotion and Specials (excluding Basic and Rate Grid discounts, which can be sent from NightsBridge).

Expedia does not provide a cut off time (minimum advance hours) tool or feature to limit how short in advance a guest can book.
