How to customise and update your Booking Engine

This tutorial will guide you through customising your NightsBridge Booking Engine.
Personalising the booking engine colour scheme is a good way to match the look and feel of your website.

How to update the elements that display on the booking engine.

Go to the 'Content' section on Home and click on the 'Booking Engine' tile.

  1. Make your selections using the available tick boxes.
  2. Click 'Save'
  3. Once you have made any changes, open or refresh your booking engine to review the changes.
Available settings Result
Display the availability calendar
This selection will provide a 'View Calendar' button on the Booking Engine
Default to show the open availability calendar
Provided that you've selected to display the availability calendar, this subsequent selection will present the availability calendar by default - the potential guest will not have to click the 'Availability Calendar' button. It will automatically display.
Default to single pax on room allocation
By default, a booking engine will present double occupancy (pax) rates where available. This selection will allow you to set the default display to single occupancy (pax).
Display TripAdvisor reviews
This selection will display the TripAdvisor reviews widget on the booking engine. This setting will only display the latest five (5) reviews on TripAdvisor, and is only functional if you have an active NightsBridge connection to TripAdvisor.
Display manager or owner cellphone number
In addition to the contact information already displayed, this selection will display the manager or owners contact number on the booking engine.

Updating the booking engine colour scheme

Please note that the colour scheme of a booking engine can only be changed by a NightsBridge team member.

How to request a colour change for the booking engine.

NightsBridge can assist with changing the colour used on your booking engine.

The colour change will impact:

  • the booking engine header
  • the 'Check Availability' button
  • the room type header
  • and the 'View Rates & Book' button

To request a change you will need to submit the request via email to [email protected].

In your email be sure to include:

  • the hexadecimal colour code for the chosen colour (eg. #0EA1D5).
    Your web designer can provide you with this code.
  • Alternatively, include a screenshot (picture) of the colour (from your website) in the email sent.

Updating the room type and property descriptions and photos

Room type description and photos

  1. Room type photos - These can be updated via the Image Uploader.
    Guidance is available in the tutorial 'How to upload property Images using the Image Uploader'.
  2. Room type description - These can be amended within Setup.
    Guidance is available in the tutorial 'How Do I Edit My Room Type Description'.
  3. Room type amenities - These can be amended in Setup.
    Guidance is available in the tutorial 'How to set up your Room Types'.

Property description and photos

  1. Property photos - These can be updated via the Image Uploader.
    Guidance is available in the tutorial 'How to upload property Images using the Image Uploader'.
  2. About us (Property description) - This can be amended within Setup.
    Guidance is available in the tutorial 'How to include additional Property Content information about your property'.
  3. General facilities - These can be amended in Setup.
    Guidance is available in the tutorial 'How to include additional Property Content information about your property'.
Accessing your booking form

You're able to open your booking engine by navigating to the 'Content' section on Home or via your website (if applicable).
