If you want to offer different currencies for your international guests to book, you need to set up different links that can be added to your website. There are a few steps to follow to create these links.
This is what an alternative currency will look like on your booking form.
Check if your payment gateway can support extra currencies
- If a you have a payment gateway connected to NightsBridge, please check that your payment gateway can support these extra currencies.
- For example, if a you are a South African property and using PayBridge, you need to be aware that payments will fail if you want to have a Dollar rate on your website, as PayBridge can only transact in ZAR.
Create a rate sheet in your preferred currency.
- You will need to create an additional rate sheet. This is done in the same way as you would make a new STO rate sheet:
- This tutorial will help you create a new rate sheet for an alternative currency. and select your preferred currency.
Contact NightsBridge to activate the Alternative Currency on your NightsBridge account
Contact NightsBridge when you have created your Alternative Currency rate sheet.
Link your created rate plan in Web Info
Once the NightsBridge consultant has activated your Alternative curency you will be able to link it:
- Click on Web Info > Web rates.
- Note that the Alternative Currency is a channel that is now available to choose.
- Select the rate sheet you created for your preferred source.
- Save your changes.
Update this URL to make your preferred currency bookable
- Click on this link https://book.nightsbridge.com/xxxx?nbid=619
- Replace the xxxxx with your BBID number.
- Press enter to save the link.
Share your Alternative Currency link
- You can share this link on your website, social media platforms, Travel Agents or Tour operators for them to book in this currency.
- Any bookings made from this link will have the source (alternative currency), which you can use to track how many bookings and revenue you got from this source.
Track your bookings
- In the Owner's Login, you will be able to track your bookings under Hits/Statistics.
