The way in which debit card transactions are processed means that refunds for payments made by debit cards must be refunded in cash or by EFT to the bank account that the card is linked to.
If you accidentally process a refund to the debit card, the credit will be moved into a suspense account with the issuing bank. It will be time consuming for you to trace and retrieve the credit.
