2. PMS Integrated Properties

NSynch Overview

The NSynch version of NightsBridge has the capability to connect to a properties PMS(Property Management System). This allows the PMS to synchronise availability to NightsBridge, and for NightsBridge to push online bookings into the PMS, via specifically linked rooms.

Please note that for this functionality, any rooms added to NightsBridge must have a unique name for NightsBridge to correctly identify and link to the corresponding room on the PMS.

The NSynch version of NightsBridge can only be integrated on one computer.

Identifying NSynch on your computor

The NSynch icon is identified by a pink bed with a crescent moon. This is generally located in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen - in the system tray (to the left of the time display).

This may look like images 1 and 2 below, depending on the operating system your computer uses.

NSynch Synchronisation

  • Automatic synchronisation between NSynch and the connected PMS occurs every 300 seconds (5 minutes).
  • It is strongly recommended to process a manual synchronisation, twice a day, to check and ensure that the software is still running correctly.

 

  • An NSynch synchronisation completes the following 3 actions:
    1. Sends bookings which reflects room availability from the local PMS to the NightsBridge server.
    2. Sends new bookings accepted online from the NightsBridge server to the local PMS via specific rooms.
    3. Acknowledges successful bookings by the PMS, and reports booking errors to the property so that these can be fixed.

When a booking is made online, a pop-up message will appear on NSynch to notify you.

  • Close message so that the synchronisation can continue.

View your bookings

You can see the online bookings that have been synchronised through NSynch on your Owner's Login.

How the connection works

 The connection works in two ways:

Online bookings are synchronised at room level

  • We connect the rooms in the NightsBridge setup to the room in the PMS.
  • Online bookings are synchronised to the NSynch PMS at a room level. This means that bookings will be entered on a double room or twin room.
  • Bookings are delivered directly into the rooms that were booked.
  • As bookings are delivered at a room level, if a booking already exists in a room which a new booking wants to occupy, NSynch does not automatically send the booking to the next available room in that room type.

Physical room names on NightsBridge need to be the same as those on PMS. This makes it easier to map the rooms between the two systems.

There cannot be more rooms on NightsBridge compared to the PMS. This prevents us from overselling your property online.

If you make any changes to the physical rooms on the NightsBridge Setup or on your PMS system, please let us know.

Availability updated via inventory

  • The availability is updated via room type inventory. We receive bookings from the PMSs via Nsynch to our server. Once our server has the bookings, we calculate the availability based on bookings in rooms that are in the same room type.
  • If you have 4 double rooms available for a particular date, we will know which double rooms are available because of the room level mapping. When viewing the availability online, we will display that the inventory in the room type called "Double Room" as "4" available.
  • We can only synchronise current and future bookings. Past information will not be updated.

Rates

NSynch does NOT exchange any rates added to the NSynch setup with the PMS.
