BridgeSynch overview

BridgeSynch allows a PMS(Property Management System) to synchronise availability and inventory through to  Nightsbridge, and allows NightsBridge to synchronise through online bookings to room types on the PMS.

NightsBridge can only be integrated on one computer.

BridgeSynch

  • BridgeSynch is identifiable by the blue bed which sits in the bottom right-hand corner of the computer, next to the time.
Documents
  • BridgeSynch synchronises automatically with the PMS every 300 seconds/ 5 minutes.
  • BridgeSynch has the following 3 steps:
    1. Sends inventory which reflects room type availability from the local PMS to the NightsBridge server.
    2. Sends new bookings taken online from the NightsBridge server to the local PMS.
    3. Acknowledges successful bookings by the PMS, and reveals booking errors to the establishment's staff so that these can be fixed.

How the connection works

The connection works in two ways:

Online bookings are synchronised via room type level

  • Online bookings are synched to the BridgeSynch PMS via a room type level. this  This means booking will be entered on a double room or twin room type.
  • Bookings are delivered to the PMS in the first physical room in that room type unless it is already booked by another Nightsbridge Booking in which case it will enter the online booking into the next available room in that room type.
  • As a  result, we will not receive booking information for specific rooms as we  will not know which rooms are booked.
  • We connect the room types in the NightsBridge setup to the room types in the PMS using a configuration file.

Availability is updated via inventory

  • The availability is updated via inventory. This means we will receive the number of physical rooms available in a particular room type instead of which physical rooms are available for that day.
  • If you have 4 double rooms available for a particular date, we will not know which double rooms are available, only that 4 are available.
  • We can only synchronise current and future bookings. Past information will not be updated.

Rates

BridgeSynch does NOT exchange setup rates with the PMS.

There cannot be more room types on NightsBridge compared to the PMS. This will cause double bookings as we cannot map the room types. If changes have been made please contact NightsBridge.
