It is important that the BridgeSync program always works correctly. There are some checks you can do to help detect any errors and see when the last synchronisation was completed.
How often should you check your BridgeSync application?
The BridgeSync program will need to be checked 2-3 times a day, by the person who has access to the main computer where the software is installed.
What do you need to check with your BridgeSync application?
Basic connectivity
- Check that computer with BridgeSync installed on it is always turned on and has an internet connection.
BridgeSync synchronisation
This check is to make sure that synchronisation of your room type availability and booking data occurs.
Open the BridgeSync user interface
- Right click on the blue bed in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
- Click on Show BridgeSynch.
- If you can't see your BridgeSync icon. you will need to click on Show hidden icons indicated with an upward facing arrow.
- If your computer has restarted you can double - click on the BridgeSync icon on your desktop to open the application again.
Check the BridgeSync interface for messages and errors
The general message area, booking message box and status section will show you if the system is working correctly or if there are any errors or issues that needs to be actioned.
- General message area - Shows a welcome message at start-up and further message may appear during synchronisation.
- Booking message box - Displays any booking errors that have occurred.
- Last Sync Completed - Displays the completion date and time of the last successful synchronisation.
- Next Sync Time - Displays the next synchronisation cycle stat time.
- Status box - Displays current status of the BridgeSync program and synchronisation process.
- Hide Button - Clicking this button hides the BridgeSync window but does not terminate the program. Even though the window is not visible synchronisation will continue.
- Exit BridgeSync - Clicking this button does will exit the BridgeSync program an terminate synchronisation.
- If the status box displays Between Sync Cycles in green font on a dark background, BridgeSync is working correctly.
- You do not need to do anything more.
- If the status box displays Terminated: Requires Restart in red text on a yellow background, BridgeSync is not working correctly.
