NightsBridge Tap: Common Errors and what to do

When errors occur, its important to understand why and how best to resolve them. This article will provide a table of the common errors you may encounter, what these errors mean, and what you should do next.

Error: App not reading QR code

NFC is turned off on the phone.Check that the phone's NFC is turned on.
Phone is not compatible.Confirm that the phone is compatible.

Error: Transaction failed on app

What it means:
What to do next:
NFC is turned off on the phone.Check that the phone's NFC is turned on.
Phone is not compatible.Confirm that the phone is compatible.
Guest bank limit for Tap transactions is reached.
Ask the guest if they have a Tap limit set.
Payment card is not Tap enabled.
Ask the guest if their card is Tap-enabled.
Payment card was not tapped within 2 minutes.
Retry the transaction, tapping within 2 minutes.
Payment card was not held to the phone long enough.
Retry & hold the card longer when tapping.
Payment card is not Mastercard or VISA.
Only Mastercard & Visa are accepted.
Guest entered the incorrect PIN.Inform the guest & retry the transaction.
