What are the requirements for NightsBridge Tap?

There are a few requirements you need to meet to be eligible to use NightsBridge Tap. You must also complete an application form and send us verification documents.

Here are the steps to follow to start the NightsBridge Tap application process.

Requirements to use NightsBridge Tap

  • You have a South African bank account.
  • You trade in South African Rand (ZAR).
  • You have an Android 11+ and NFC-compatible phone.
  • Developer mode must be turned off on your phone.

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Scroll down until you see 'About phone' or 'About device', and tap that.
  3. Look for 'Device name', 'Model name' or 'Model number'.
  4. Look for 'Android version' -- this must be 11 or higher.

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Search for 'NFC' in the search bar, or look for 'Connections', 'Connected Devices', or 'Connection & sharing'.
  3. If you see this option and can toggle it on and off, your phone supports NFC.
  4. If it is toggled off, please turn it on.

  1. Open Settings on your phone.
  2. Search for 'Developer' in the search bar, or look for 'Developer Mode' or 'Developer Options'.
  3. When you find a Developer Mode option, check and see if you can toggle it on and off.
  4. If it is toggled on, please turn it off.
