How to set up a Web Extra

A Web Extra is a Stock Item that you're making available via your Booking Engine. Guests are then able to include these when booking their stay with you. Adding Web Extras lets you to offer your add-on items and services such as meals, activities, laundry and airport transfers - right on your Booking Engine.

Is there an existing Stock Item for the Web Extra you wish to create?

  • To add an item or service as a Web Extra, it needs to be an active Stock Item on NightsBridge.

Go to Web Extras

Go to Setup

Select Web Extras
  • Click on 'Web Extras'.

Add the Web Extra

  • Click the 'Add' button.
    The 'Web Extra' page will open.
Complete the information

Complete the Web Extra details by:

  1. using the drop-down menu to select the 'Rate Sheet' - this will default to RACK.
  2. using the calendar widgets to select the 'Valid From' and 'Valid Until' dates.
    This is the start and end date the item or service to be available for.
  3. using the drop-down menu to select the 'Web Extra' from the list of existing Stock Items.
  4. The 'Amount' will automatically populate with the price set for the Stock Item.

Do you want payment for this Web Extra to be included in the deposit payment?

  • When including a Web Extra in the deposit payment, its important that you can always guarantee availability of the property or service.

Include the Web Extra in the deposit

  1. Use the drop-down menu and select 'Yes'.
  2. Click on the 'Save' button.

The new Web Extra will now show within the list.

Don't include the Web Extra in the deposit

  1. The default will be set to 'No' - there is no need to change this.
  2. Click on the 'Save' button.

The new Web Extra will now show within the list.

Publish your changes

  • Click on the 'Exit' button.
  • Click on 'Publish' on the orange banner to make your changes public.

Review the Web Extra on your Booking Engine.

To see how your guests will select web extras, open your Booking Engine.

On your Booking Engine:

  • follow the process as if making an actual booking.
  • once you've selected a room the option to select available extras will display before the rate information.

Set up a Stock Item for the product or service you want to add as a Web Extra

Once you have set up the Stock Item, return to this guide to set up the Web Extra.
