Keeping your official business and tax details up to date shouldn't feel like a chore. Whether your property has just officially registered for VAT, or you simply need to pop in your business registration number, you can easily update this information via your Home or Setup menus.

If you are wondering whether your property needs to be VAT registered, the South African Revenue Service (SARS) generally requires it if your total value of taxable goods or services is more than R1 million in a 12-month period (or is expected to exceed that amount).

Here is how to quickly update your details:
1. Open your settings:
Start by clicking your menu to drop it down, and select 'Property & Business Info'.
2. Find the right section:
Once there, make sure you select the 'Business Info' option.
3. Pop in your details:
- You can simply type your business registration number right into the first box.
- Indicate whether you have a VAT number,
- and if you do, just add your VAT number into the field provided.
4. Save your updates:
Finally, click the 'Save' button so everything is neatly stored. And you are all set!
