How to Identify a Direct Booking

Getting a direct booking is always a win, as it helps you build your own guest relationships and track your marketing success! Knowing exactly where your direct bookings are coming from helps you see what is working.

Here is how to quickly check your booking system to confirm if an individual booking came directly to you:

First, use the Booking ID to search the specific booking to open the Booking and Payment Status page.

Click the arrow to expand your Booking Details,

and simply look for the word 'Source' within the Booking Notes section.

Step 2: Understand your booking sources

You will see a specific source listed next to the booking. Here is a quick cheat sheet on what each of those direct sources means:

1. Own Website (NightsBridge)

A guest booked online using the booking engine on your own website.

2. Manual

A booking that you or your team manually captured on your NightsBridge Calendar.

3. Webview (NightsBridge)

A booking manually added online via your Owner's Login.

A quick tip: If you captured the booking using our mobile app, it will also show as WebView, but you will see a helpful little note saying "Captured on mobile device" next to it!.

4. Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok (NightsBridge):

A guest booked online using the unique direct booking link on your social media business pages.

A quick note for properties using an external system:

If you use a different Property Management System (PMS) connected to NightsBridge, that system will only send blocked availability to us, not the specific manual booking details. Because of this, you will not see "Manual" as a source on your NightsBridge Booking Status.
