Why do we send quotes?

Providing a quote to a client is important, they need to know how much they're going to be paying for our services. They'll have a budget in mind and this could make or break the deal.

In order to prepare a quote, you will need the following:

1) The number of rooms the property wants to put online through NightsBridge.

2) Is the property location in South Africa/Namibia (ZAR)/(NAD) or out of South Africa (USD)?

3) Number of Extranets the property will be linking to.

4) To know if they will be joining Springnest and/or PayBridge.

5) The pricing calculator.

The Pricing Calculator

The pricing calculator has multiple sheets located at the bottom of Excel. Below is a legend:

Feb2019 - The basic input fields.

Pricing Structure - The table where our pricing is edited each year.

ZAR Q - Where extras are added as well as the output of Feb 2019.

Multi-Hotel IDs - The table where our pricing is edited each year.

Africa USD - The out of South Africa pricing.

Single Unit Properties - A standardised Pro Forma

Quotation per month - Monthly installment

Quotation 6 months - pricing with a 5% discount

Quotation 12 months -pricing with a 10% discount

Fields in yellow are the ones you should edit. This will automatically populate the figures on each applicable sheet.

Adding Quotes to Touch and Billing Notes

The reason we do this is to assist the accounts team should a client dispute their payment. Instead of having to read through all the information in Touch we merely add what our original quote was.

Discounts

Pay in Advance and Receive a Discount

Pay upfront for 6 months and receive 5% discount.

Pay upfront for 1 year and receive 10% discount.

Dorm/Backpacker Pricing

If a client sells beds instead of rooms, like a backpacker or  dorms, their price will be based on half the number of 'beds' listed,  not half the rand amount.

E.G. If they have 120 beds you would use the pricing calculator and work out the fees for 60 rooms (120x50% = 60)

Do not work out the cost for 120 rooms and then divide the ZAR amount by 2.

5 Property Discount - Apartment Management Companies

If a management company has more than 5 Properties they can receive 30% discount on the NightsBridge service fee.

  • Primarily for apartments, self catering houses, villas etc
  • Not if there are 5 properties- separate guest houses
  • 30% discount offered BUT NOT a further 10% if they pay upfront for the year. Only one discount applicable.

20 Property Discount - Apartment Management Companies

If a management company has more than 20 Properties they can receive 50% discount on the NightsBridge service fee.

  • Primarily for apartments, self catering houses, villas etc
  • Not if there are 20 properties- separate guest houses
  • 50% discount offered BUT NOT a further 10% if they pay upfront for the year. Only one discount applicable.
